About me

Hi! I’m Sally,

A long time lover of art, and jack of many trades. Fresh graduate from SAE, with an endless curiosity about the world.

Outside of the internet, I have many interests, some of them are:

Drawing and painting: This is something to be best enjoyed while winding down from the day. I love both the mindless spontaneity of mark making, and the meditation like concentration of drawing from life.

Knitting: I’m an avid sock knitter, and have been knitting since I was 13. I’m of the belief that hand knit socks are more comfortable than any other sock ever made, and infinitely more fun to mend. I prefer to knit for myself, but I’m always open to teaching newbies. The more crafty people, the merrier!

3D Printing: Many of my family and friends can attest to and have benefited from my 3D printing obsession. While I haven’t delved too deeply into designing 3D prints (yet), you can see my printed and designed projects here (for those interested, I have a Prusa MK4S),

Mending: I am a mending maven. As someone who cares deeply about the impact of textile waste on the planet, I love a good bit of mending.

Sewing: I learnt sewing in Home Ec many years ago, and at one point even considered studying fashion. I am endlessly inspired by my collection of sewing books, as there are always new techniques to learn throughout history.

Bookbinding: Examining books as an art form, through use of interesting materials and techniques, is a hobby ripe for exploring nuanced ideas and concepts.
